Kelly Gordon Sobanski, M.A.
, has studied the path of Iyengar Yoga for over 6 years while also actively working as an Art Educator. Currently, she apprentices with Elizabeth Kerwin and in the past has accomplished teacher trainings with Julie Lawrence, Rebecca Lerner, Eddy Marks, and Mary Obendorger. Kelly strives towards her Iyengar Certification through heartfelt dedicational studies.
Kelly believes that Yoga inspires the mind, body, and heart to explore deep within and therefore encourages the heart to open towards the vastness of evolving through compassion, courage, and calm reflection. She believes that Yoga is a guide towards awakening and transforming with grace as the individual is engaged in an exploration of their inner being. Kelly trusts that "through the practice of Yoga, we reflect upon our emotions and experiences, cultivate compassion, generate circulation in the body, and create a receptive, yet inquisitive mind. By way of these elements through Yoga, we are inspired to explore life with an evolving attitude of rejuvenation, thankfulness, and wonder."
Kelly loves to teach because she enjoys being part of a community where a peaceful environment is created, where inspiration and courage is evident, and where people can honor the exceptionality of themselves. Through her teaching, she hopes to inspire people to admire genuineness with integrity, to bring calm awareness into challenging obstacles, to embody curious inquisitiveness, and to integrate the whole self towards a vibrant path of living mindfully.
